The Greenwood Ave. Farmers Market located on 427 Greenwood Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08609 (located behind the Trenton Transit Center) is the first of its kind in Trenton to provide residents easy access to local healthy food and health screenings. The market is open every Monday, June through October.
The market features a variety of Jersey fresh produce, tropical fruits, meat, eggs and baked goods. Vendors include: Isles, offering Trenton-grown produce from the Tucker Street Farm; Norz Hill Farm from Hillsborough selling Jersey-grown fruits and vegetables, and Franca Bakery offering fresh baked breads, rolls and healthy baked goods. In addition to healthy food options, the farmers market offers physical activities, health screenings, nutrition education and music. The market accepts SNAP, WIC and FMNP vouchers.
This farmers market is made possible by support from the New Jersey Department of Health, YMCA of Trenton - New Jersey Partnership for Healthy Kids (NJPHK), the Hunterdon and Mercer County Regional Chronic Disease Coalition. It is also in partnership with the City of Trenton, the Trenton Healthy Food Network and Nexus Properties.
